Diet concept Workshop
Proper diet is very important to maintain a healthy state in our life and to treat diseases more effectively.In both cases, the food items are as important as the way they are cooked.Different ways of cooking food i.e. “Ayatakalpana”, to effectively teach the students of Ayurveda Vidyasakha, the formation ritual of such ayatakalpanas and their importance in practice.Also with the intention of making this available to the public by the Board of Health under the Academic Department of Gujarat Ayurveda University, Jamnagar in collaboration with the Department of Forest Conservation and under the guidance of the Chancellor of the University Vaidha sri mukul Patel workshop on “Dietary Conception” was organized for the teachers of health subjects of colleges affiliated to the University during September 21 and 22, 2024 at Shri O.H. Nazar Ayurveda College, Padepadamdungari.In this workshop various dietary concepts (dishes) specified in the ancient texts of Ayurvedic science which are required for a healthy person to stay healthy as well as for a patient to cure his disease were presented by the teachers of various colleges.In this workshop, 3 expert speakers of Ayurvedic science presented detailed talks on yoga and Ayurvedic aspects of food science and dietary concepts.The speakers included Vaidya Arpan Bhatt, Dean of Planning and Development, ITRA, Jamnagar, and Professor and Head of the Department of Health, Department of Health, Siddakala Ayurveda College, Sanmer.Dr. Atish Oswal, Professor and Head, and Dr. Rahul Jadhav, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Health and Yoga, Parul Institute of Ayurveda.Dr. Ashok Chavda, Registrar of Gujarat Ayurveda University, Jamnagar was present in the workshop and all the participants were encouraged in the opening and closing ceremony of this workshop. Vaidya Kirtiben Patel, Principal of Hi Nazar Ayurveda College, Surat was present.A total of 45 participants including 36 teachers from 23 colleges affiliated to the university were present in this workshop. 21 dietary concepts were presented in this workshop. In the near future, an informative video of the concepts will be available on the YouTube channel of the University in Bhogya language.
