ABOUT US

Shree O.H.Nazar Ayurved College & attached Shree Swami Atmanand Saraswati Ayurved Hospital is governed by Shree Tapi Brahmacharyashram Sabha Trust, Surat.

Shree Tapi Brahmacharyashram Sabha  was established on 7^th May 1924. Honourable Shree Swami Atmanand Saraswati was founder of Shree Tapi Brahmacharyashram Sabha.

Swamiji was deeply interested in learning & teaching Ayurved and put his immense efforts for its publicity. Swamiji became active in establishing Ayurved College in 1944. For that he obtained donation from Shree Ochchhavlal Hiralal Nazar. In July 1946, Shree O.H.Nazar Ayurved college was inaugurated by Shree Balasaheb Kher, Chief Minister of Bombay State. The first Principal of the college was Shree Bapalal Vaidya who was a well-known practitioner of Ayurvedic medicine. Presently, the college has intake capacity of 100 (Hundred) students.  College is running only U.G. – Under Graduate course of  BAMS.

The patients residing at Surat city &  near  by villages & cities of South Gujarat & Maharastra  are taking benefits of ayurveda  treatment in our hospital. There are many facilities available in the hospital – i.e – well equipped dept.of Panchakarma, Shalya – ayurvedic surgery dept.,   Physiotherapy, Radiology, Sonography & Dental dept. There are regular yoga classes runs by yoga guru & free food facilities for patients & their one attendant.

College is fulfilled by good facilities i.e. big class rooms with projector, laboratories for students practical & dissection room, herbal garden, sport facilities etc. Our college is one of the best college in ayurveda field. We are trying to give our best output to the students as well as patients in hospital.
